The challenge
A builder in Brisbane undertook a renovation and expansion project of an industrial factory and needed to provide wear-resistant and wind-pressure-resistant door and window solutions for the factory. The factory is located in an industrial area, with frequent sandstorm attacks all year round, and the original old doors and windows have problems of frame deformation and seal failure; the new doors and windows must have strong wind pressure resistance (meeting AS2047 Level 4 standards) to resist strong winds in the industrial area, and at the same time have basic waterproof performance to prevent rainwater from seeping in and affecting production equipment. In addition, the builder required that the door and window installation process should not affect the normal production of the existing part of the factory.
project goals
1. Functional Goal: Achieve AS2047 Level 4 wind pressure resistance; ensure basic waterproof and wear-resistant performance.
2. Installation Goal: Carry out installation in phases during non-production hours to avoid affecting normal production.
3. Compliance Goal: Meet AS4666 industrial door and window standards and AS1288 safety glass standards.
the result
After customizing the HB102 Thermal Break Series Windows solution (using 6063-T5 aluminum alloy frames + enhanced sealing strips, matched with 8052 LowE glass) for them, the project pain points were perfectly solved:
Excellent Industrial Performance: The thickened frame and enhanced wind pressure resistance structure made the doors and windows pass AS2047 Level 4 wind pressure resistance test, and there was no deformation or air leakage even in severe sandstorm weather; the enhanced waterproof design prevented rainwater seepage. The factory manager said, “The new doors and windows have withstood the test of the industrial environment, and the production environment has been significantly improved
Non-Disruptive Installation: Our team formulated a phased installation plan, constructed during the factory’s night shutdown and weekend periods, and completed all installation work in 35 days without affecting the factory’s daily production.
Long-Term Cooperation Established: The project met all compliance and performance requirements, and the builder highly recognized our professional service and product quality. They have signed a long-term cooperation agreement with us, designating our HB102 series as the preferred solution for their subsequent industrial project door and window supporting needs.
